SOS Casa

We repair lives

An SOS Casa handyman in a white logo polo shirt works on a piece of wood in a workshop.

SOS Casa was conceived, is owned and is run by Olhar Poente. It carries out small repairs, home and business cleaning, gardening and other jobs for the whole community on Terceira Island.

A model that helps twice

Customers who can afford it pay a fair price, which helps fund the model. Vulnerable families get social discounts based on their income-tax band, and can pay in up to three interest-free instalments.

Real impact

  • Jobs for people over 55, who bring experience and know-how;
  • Safer, more comfortable homes for families who could not otherwise afford repairs;
  • Free activities for children at our nurseries and after-school clubs, funded by the business — like the treehouses built by the team.

Need something fixed? Request a quote on the SOS Casa website or give us a call.
